Backwater bliss
We chose this homestay over a big resort and it was the best decision. The canoe rides through narrow canals were magical. The home-cooked appam and fish curry was divine.

Authentic Kerala experience
Staying with a local family gave us insights no guidebook could. The garden is full of spices and tropical fruits. Rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable.

Great value for families
We stayed in the Family Cottage with our parents and two kids. The host arranged a houseboat day trip at a very reasonable rate. A memorable stay.

Peaceful retreat
Woke up to bird song every morning. The backwater location is serene. Do not expect luxury hotel amenities — this is about experiencing real Kerala life. Loved it.
